Friday Featurette #72

The Husband and The Wife enjoying a moment togetherIt’s 10:45PM and I am only just now settling in for the evening. I worked late which happens to everyone from time to time. Then, because I had a busy day and missed my lunchtime workout, I went to the gym for an hour. Afterwards, I ran some errands. Plus there was snow to shovel when I finally got home. And, of course, I needed a long hot shower after being outside in the snow and cold. So, a picture like this one is very appropriate.

P.S. Happy St. Valentine’s Day to all he lovers out there.

Wednesday Weirdness #72

I’m so tired of the cold and snow, I wore shorts during my workout today. It was “warmer” than it has been so I didn’t freeze; but it was barely warm enough. I seldom wear ColdGear and shorts; but it’s been that kind of a winter. You definitely don’t see many people working out in shorts when there’s snow on the ground.  I took a LONG shower to warm up afterwards. I’m really looking forward to the day when I don’t need to dress in layers for a workout.

Monday Monologue #72

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • I went shopping with The Wife on Saturday. She was concerned I might not like it since we spent most of our time looking for women’s work out gear. I really didn’t mind at all since the stuff we were buying was for HOT weather. More UA ColdGear was not on the list
  • With all of the snow we’ve been having, the novelty must have worn of the snow blower our next door neighbor owns. The first few times it snows the cleared everything everywhere. Recently, he’s just been making path for his cars and not even doing the walkway between his driveway and front door.
  • I moved cube farms today. A lot of my co-workers have been complaining about the new location; but, I decided to decorate/accessorize like I always do and make the best of it. I get in my car and come home at the end of the day. What’s there (home) is really what’s important.
  • I periodically review the messages caught by our spam filter, mostly for amusement. I’m know that spammers rely on volume; but most of the messages are so obviously fake that I can’t imagine anyone would actually respond. There are always a few clever ones; but most would be easily caught by the most rudimentary anti-spam measures (or the human brain).

Friday Featurette #71

The Wife sitting naked on the bed with a tube of flavored lubricant waiting for The HusbandIt’s be a long week with a bunch of distractions for The Wife and I. So the weekend is very, very welcome. A bunch of things got rescheduled because of the snowstorm. And, of course, I had a lot of snow to shovel. I hope that July and August are just as insanely hot as January and February have been obscenely cold. Anyway, here is a cute picture of the wife. It’s similar to ones that we have posted before; but that probably why we like it.

Wednesday Weirdness #71

We’ve lived in this area for a long time; but I don’t think I’ve ever been so tired of snow. As much as we hoped they would be wrong, the weathermen who predicted a LOT of snow overnight were correct. We had so much snow and ice that some people couldn’t even get out of their driveways! I don’t have any idea why people were trying to drive in snow that was obviously too deep for their vehicle. Sometimes I wonder what they were thinking before I realize the problem is that they probably weren’t.

Monday Monologue #71

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • January was brutal weather-wise. We’re very glad to see it end even if a yet another GIGANTIC snowstorm is forecast for tomorrow.
  • We had a GREAT movie night this past Saturday. Unlike some of our more recent purchases, the Blu-Ray we watched was definitely worth seeing. A good way to spend a cold winter night.
  • The people at SB party we went too on Sunday were fun which is good since the game itself was forgettable. Of course the biggest losers were the advertisers in the 2nd half.
  • I can’t believe that the Winter Olympics start this week. It doesn’t seem like the last one was four years ago but, of course, it was. Hopefully there won’t be any serious accidents in practice/training.
