Friday Featurette #148

The Wife sitting naked on the bed with the last of the flavored lubricantThere will not be many more pictures like this one of I don’t acquire some more flavored lubricant. The summer has not be especially busy. I just never seem to think about it whenever I’m online. And, unfortunately, it’s not sold in any local stores. Around here, the retail selection is very limited; and is more focused on function rather than fun. And, for us, bedroom accessories are only for “entertainment purposes”. But we did make the most of our last squeeze.

Have a great weekend!

Wednesday Weirdness #148

Except for taking for ever to download I like what I’ve seen of Windows 10 so far. It’s highly unlikely it will live up to the hype. But I’m going to convert our other Windows 7 desktop computer whenever we get prompted. The download has NOT been smooth. But the finished product is definitely worth the wait.

Monday Monologue #148

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
  • The Wife and I got in the pool on Saturday afternoon for a long time. It was glorious. Hopefully, there will be a lot more days like that this summer. For once, we went inside because it was dark and not because it was starting to rain.
  • I got a blister on my hand from sweating so much on Sunday when we were rowing. Sunday was HOT. There wasn’t a dry place anywhere for me wipe my hands before we were even halfway. But, it was great to finally be on the water.
  • Today was another “interesting” day at work. The landscape changes every day it seems. I’m not totally panicked like some people; but I am watching things carefully. Hopefully, we’ve seen the end of the “difficult decisions”.
  • I might be installing Windows 10 tomorrow or Wednesday so the remainder of this week’s posts may be later than usual.

Friday Featurette #147

The Wife standing naked in front of the mirror drying her hairToday is the one year anniversary of the arrival of the “temporary” dog. Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Now, she’s been here an entire year. At least she is much better trained than when she as a puppy. Of course, she’s still a dog and we have lots in the neighborhood to bark at.

So far as humans go, I survived another tumultuous week at work and am looking forward to relaxing in the pool and being (mostly) unplugged. I really need the break. We’re planning to make the most of the typical July weather in the forecast.

Have a great weekend.

Wednesday Weirdness #147

The “temporary” dog still barks at the neighbor’s cat, mostly because their cat is always in OUR yard trying to catch one of the rabbits that lives on our backyard. We wish they would be more considerate. It’s no fun having to clean up after a pet that’s not yours. Plus it leaves mostly unidentifiable dead stuff everywhere.

Monday Monologue #147

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • Today was a very trying day at work today. I just came home and got in the pool. The happenings did NOT affect me personally (except for contributing to a stressful environment) so it could have been worse. But it could have been much better too.
  • It was HOT when The Wife and I went for our run in the park on Sunday. We would have preferred to row; but the river did not cooperate and was still too fast/dangerous. I don’t know when we will finally be on the water again.
  • I’m ready for some football or at least some soccer. Baseball used to be my favorite sport and now I seldom watch it or go to games. They really need to fix the disparity between the clubs before the sport is reduced to a footnote in history.
  • The videos that I changed last week seem to be working. (At least for us.) Please let us know if they are not working for you.
