Today we are posting a short video clip made with Corel VideoStudio X10. It’s a big file to be so short. If it were longer it would need to be down-sampled. But, it was quick and easy to add a mosaic (pixilation) effect with the track motion filter. Unfortunately, it can’t do anything about the sound.
Since we’re having problems making movies with sound, we though that it might be fun to play around with some of the video effects that don’t work well with audio. So, this week, we’re speeding up the videos. Not as something to do all of the time. Just something different. Please let us know what you think.
Because of the technical difficulties with our camera during this week’s photo session, I had to reach into the way back machine for today’s photograph. Fortunately, I didn’t need to reach back very far. This picture is from a week ago. I just upgraded to the latest version of PaintShop Pro so I had to re-configure my workspace since the everything reverted to the to the defaults. We hope that you didn’t have to work and were able to relax and enjoy the day. Have a great second half of the long weekend.
Sometimes, it seems like our camera has a mind of its own. It suddenly just stops taking photographs or recording videos. It’s very annoying to discover that we have only a handful of pictures or a few minutes of video at the end of a photo session. Such was the case this week when we were making a video. We’ve got a few good clips to post. But, not as much as we were expecting for our private archives. Perhaps there will be some good Black Friday deals in “Camera & Photo”. And, once again, there is no audio to go with the video since recording sound with our current camera is so problematical.
We’re slowly adjusting to the time change; but, the lack of light when we get off from work makes it harder. It just seems later (and mildly depressing) when it’s too dark to do much of anything outside in the … Continue reading
I just upgraded all of our PCs to the latest version of Windows. Our primary computer took a long time; but everything seems to be working. (Except for one unusual error message.) Of course, I see that an update to … Continue reading
Update: Our heat is “working” which means that the house is normal winter temperature but nothing was really fixed. Every suspect part tested OK when the service man was here so there was nothing to repair or replace. Apparently, the … Continue reading
It’s hard to tell with the pixilation; but The Wife had a nice smile in this picture so we decided to post it. It’s great that we’re still laughing and having fun after all these years. Just like this past summer has flown by, we wonder how all the years since we first met went by so fast too. We mostly still look toward the future; but sometimes, we reflect on the past. It’s been quite an adventure.
