I got my broken tooth fixed. It didn’t take too long once I actually got in to see the dentist since they have one of those super high-tech machines that mils a replacement out of a ceramic blank right there in the office. I still had to have the rest of the broken surface drilled out. But, the new one was made from a digital image from a camera-like 3D sensor. Much better than the traditional process. So, even though I am still slightly sick, I am feeling much better than everything is repaired. Have a great weekend.
We noticed when I was replacing a burned out light bulb in our bath room that all of the others were getting dim. So, I replaced them as well. There is a lot more light. That’s good for most things. … Continue reading
I am definitely ready for the weekend. Even more so than usual. I caught a cold on Monday or Tuesday week and by Thursday I was so tired, I didn’t even have enough energy to go get my new eyeglasses even though they were ready. I’m feeling better today; but, still more sick than well. Going to spend some quality family time and try to recuperate as much as possible. Have a great weekend. See you on the other side.
Recently, The Wife has been using a hot washcloth on her face in the morning when she wakes up. Everyone has their morning routine. She doesn’t think it’s that unusual; but I know I would fall back asleep only to wake up some time later with a cold, wet towel on my face. Anyway, I thought it was interesting view. So, here is a picture I took before I left for work today.
The Wife had an appointment at the eye doctor shortly before our photo session and her eyes were still sensitive to light. So, we were unable to use the background lighting or the camera flash. As a result. The pictures are relatively dark and grainy. We both still had fun even if the photographs look like they were shot with a spy camera. More importantly, everything is well with her. We can always add to our photo collection another day.
It was almost warm today which basically means that, for once, it wasn’t cold. Not warm enough to do anything outside. But, warm enough, that walking from our car was tolerable and we didn’t feel like we had to rush … Continue reading
Best of luck to whomever you are rooting for in the Super Bowl. We’re hoping for a competitive game without another 4th quarter comeback by the league’s MVP. They have already been in more games than anyone else. And, of course, our favorite team home is watching on TV. An upset is not very likely, but we’re hoping. Have a great Super Bowl weekend!
We are definitely ready for the weekend. Its supposed to be warmer; but, wet and rainy. Better than cold and snowy but not nearly as good as hot and sunny. I don’t expect the weather to be warm enough to get out and row every January and February. But, there have been a lot of days where I needed my big coat. It’s probably wishful thinking; but I put the snow suit I wear to shovel back in the basement. We’ll see if I was being overly optimistic. “Light” snow is forecast for Monday. Here is a higher quality video than what we usually post. Have a great weekend.
I really like the fact that the gym I now work out at during lunch hour is within easy walking distance. The downside to working downtown is that parking isn’t convenient for lunchtime errands. I would actually do more waking if I walked to the garage where I park usually park my car, drove to the nearest parking in vicinity of the gym, and walked inside than if I just walked directly there. I don’t mind walking. That’s one of the things I like about working downtown. I prefer to walk. Except when its freeing cold outside. Then I find myself longing for summer even more than I already am.
Our vacation was great. But, like always, it came with a cost. I am still working even though it’s late Friday evening. And I have work to do tomorrow. Plus, it snowing so I’ll have to shovel the driveway too. I’m hoping that I can get everything done and relax on Sunday. Especially since I Monday is not a holiday for me. Have a great weekend. We hope that yours is a three-day one.
