Tuesday Two For #164

Since we already need to transcode for the web, I’m experimenting with rotating videos during the conversion to MP4. We don’t have a specific requirement. But, it would be nice to know how to do it in case the need arises in the future. One day, we may take a really cool video with the camera sideways and want to flip it. Anyway, here is the result of our first experiment. A short clip of The Wife inserting her diaphragm. As you can see she is well practiced at it.

Friday Featurette #47

The Wife putting in her diaphragmFor a variety of reasons, this has been LONG week for The Wife and me. We’ve got things to do on Saturday; but, hopefully, there will still be time for the activities that occur after the event featured in this photograph. August has been unseasonably cool, so I will still need to cut the grass and work in the yard this weekend. But; we can still sleep in!

Have a great weekend. We’ll see you on the other side.

Traditional Thursday #43

The Wife in the bathroom inserting her diaphragmToday, we are posting another candid photo from our last photo session. It was totally unplanned; but we really liked how the lights in the background framed the shot. This image is definitely in the “a picture is worth a thousand words” category. And, of course, The Wife putting in her diaphragm is always good.

Friday Featurette #38

The Wife inserting her diaphragmToday is the first full day of summer and longest day of the year. And, the weather has been sunny and warm. It’s really starting to feel like summer. So, as the Friday before the Friday before our customary Independence Day vacation concludes, The Wife and I are wishing for a time machine. We would like nothing better than to fast forward to our much anticipated Fourth of July staycation. We’ve definitely got sumeritis.

Tuesday Two For #15

Gynol II Contraceptive GelWe mentioned in our last post that Gynol II is hard to find. We ordered some on the internet; but it was already past its expiration date when it arrived. Apparently, it seems, it’s being discontinued. We’re not completely out of luck; the manufacturer stull makes an “Extra Strength” variety that can be used with a diaphragm or just by itself. It’s more expensive even though the tubes are smaller; but, presumably, it works just as well. Thankfully, we need to use less per application since we use it in conjunction with a diaphragm. We would be spending a lot more money if we only got 13 uses out of a container. Some women have reported that the additional concentration of active ingredients makes it “numbing”. We’ll take it for an extended test drive and let you know how it goes.
