We’ve been rowing a lot this summer since it’s been mostly hot and dry. Occasionally we’ve had “scattered” thunderstorms; but not enough rain to make the river high and unrowable. And, when it did rain, it didn’t last long enough that we couldn’t row afterwards on these long summer days. according to my log I’ve rowed 18 consecutive days which is the most I’ve done. I know that streak will come to an end, so we’re going to enjoy these long days while we can.
I finally fixed a weird issue that I have been having with a computer that I upgraded to Windows 10. The “fix” was amazingly simple. Diagnosing the problem was the hard part. And, even though I know what’s happening, I still haven’t figured out why. I don’t like mysteries. Especially technical ones.
We had a brief taste of Spring today. One of those rare days February days where we could open all the windows during the day and get outside in the afternoon. I’m sure that we will be back to bundling up soon. But today was great. Even if it was only for one day.

Since we’re having problems making movies with sound, we though that it might be fun to play around with some of the video effects that don’t work well with audio. So, this week, we’re speeding up the videos. Not as something to do all of the time. Just something different. Please let us know what you think.

We had a great weekend so it was hard to get back to the grind on Monday. And today I had to run the errands that I would have done yesterday if it wasn’t; a holiday. So, Tuesday was like … Continue reading
One of the “good” things about it getting dark earlier is that we have to go inside earlier. So, it’s not so late when we get started on our evening activities. Certainly, we wish the was more daylight. But it … Continue reading
We’ve winding down the dog days of summer and are enjoying each and every one of them. Labor Day is right around the corner and we are not happy to see it arrive. This summer has flown past in a blink of an eye. We did a twilight row this week that was MUCH earlier than it would have been last month. It’s becoming very clear that we don’t have that much summer left. So, we are going to enjoy it while it lasts.
Here is a video of one of our more typical methods of preparation. Unfortunately, we do not have the reverse. Maybe next week. I’m kinda annoyed that I lost the battery.
