Monday Monologue #9

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • I managed to rip off part of my fingernail when I was working on things around the house this weekend. I’m not sure what it got caught on and was too busy making sure I didn’t get blood all over everything to investigate. I definitely don’t have the best luck with things.
  • The wife is on vacation this week. It’s a short week for me (like almost everyone else). But it’s going to be hard to get up and out when she’s staying in bed. I need a vacation.
  • People are already putting up their Christmas decorations. I know that it’s the week of Thanksgiving; but the holiday is early this year. We’ll probably put ours up soon too. If you followed our old blog, you know the Christmas tree was a popular background.
  • And, in case we get busy and don’t get around to posting. The Wife and I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

  1. I can’t stand seeing holiday decorations up early; it always feels they’re rushing the season. Both Taz and I believe Christmas decorations shouldn’t go up until Santa comes at the end of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

    • Kazi: When the kids were younger, we used to wait until mid-December. But, now that they are both in college and aren’t home until it’s almost Christmas, we’ve starting decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving.
