Monday Monologue #11

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • I got totally drenched today at lunch on my way to boxing. It was barely raining when I left the building I work in; but, it started raining really, really hard when I had walked about halfway to the gym. It’s happened before and it will happen again; but that didn’t make me any less miserable.
  • The battery on our compact camera will barely hold a charge. It wouldn’t be so aggravating, except for the fact that the camera is not even one year old. I don’t expect it to last forever; but one I don’t think 12 months is asking too much. Especially since we don’t mostly only use it around the house.
  • The new version of iTunes really sucks. I would recommend against upgrading until after doing some research and finding out exactly what you are (not) getting. It’s not as bloated as the previous version; but that’s because a lot of features are missing.
  • I still haven’t gotten used to not having a vacant lot next door anymore. Now I don’t know what to do with some of three things that ended up there. I shouldn’t have to dispose of dog/cat poop, for example, since I don’t have any pets; but there are some very inconsiderate people in our neighborhood.

  1. I didn’t think before I upgraded iTunes and I’m hating having to learn the the new layout.
Why should you have to clean up animal poop? is it ending up in your yard from next door?

    • Kazi: Cover flow is the thing that I miss the most about the new version of iTunes. It’s not nearly as bloated as the previous version which I good but a lot of things got moved/changed. Since I get all of my music from Amazon, I may switch back to Windows Media Player.

I don’t know whose cat/dog the poop is coming from or I would say something. The only “good” thing is that we aren’t in the yard as much in the winter. If this was in the summer and we were outside all of the time, I would be really POed. I think it’s probably one of the newer neighbors since we didn’t have any problems a few months ago.
