We received the replacement camera battery we ordered before the scheduled delivery date and were able to charge it overnight the day before our photo session. So, we could take plenty of pictures without having to worry about the battery running down. A strong battery and the ability to upload photographs to our computer via Wi-Fi is a great combination! All we have to do when we are finished is go downstairs and look at the pictures. So here is a gallery with a few more photos than we’ve had recently in it just because we can.
Awesome!
The one downside to the new DSLR is how long it takes to process images. I transfer via the memory card and have to use a special program on the computer to do it (rather than just using Windows). Once transferred the pics are all .NEF and have to be converted to .JPG to be viewed outside of the special program. Yuck.

Kazi: You definitely need an Eye-fi card. Everything gets upload wirelessly, and the receiving program which runs on your computer understands RAW formats like NEF. The only thing that you have to do is file them if you don’t want to use the default folder structure. (Which we don’t since we separate our family and NSFW pictures.)
I just put it on my wish list 🙂
I have to find out if my camera is one of the compliant models, that really looks like a great way to go though! thanks for the tip 🙂

Kazi: The capability works with all newer cameras. It’s better to have one that is Eye-Fi aware. That way you can tag specific pictures for upload; but it is not required. Plus, the camera “knows” if it’s still doing an upload and won’t automatically shut off so save batter power. I don’t even know where my USB cable for my camera is anymore; (beyond the fact that it’s in a box in the basement).
