Monday Monologue #66

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • Comments should now be open on all recent posts. There was a bug in WordPress that always closed comments despite what was selected. There is a workaround if an author is aware of the problem; but, considering how significant of an issue it is, I think they should have released an update by now.
  • As in previous years, The Wife and I got a few gifts that we can’t use for Christmas. And, of course, we also received clothing that is too big. My mom thinks that I’m the same size as my brother; but anything that fits him is too big for me. And The Wife is MUCH smaller than my sister. They are not comparable sizes to us.
  • I can’t believe that it will be 2014 in two days. It doesn’t seem like that long ago that we were talking about the turn of the century and the “millennium bug”. With our youngest on schedule to graduate from college, 2014 will be another year of change for us.
  • Congratulations to the Bengals. Hopefully, they can finally win a playoff game and won’t be “one and done” as in past years. But, no matter what happens, it has still been a good year. Their head coach didn’t get fired today.

Friday Featurette #65

The wife relaxing naked on the bed on Christmas EveWe have had a good Christmas holiday so far. It started later than expected (for me); but, this week has been GREAT. The Wife and I really like our long vacations. As always, we received some good gifts and some not so good gifts on Wednesday. We may feature one category or the other or both in next week’s photo posts. Have a fabulous weekend.

P.S. Comments are back open. I updated all of the most recent posts. I also made the change/fix that will be in WordPress 3.8.1 so it doesn’t happen again..

Wednesday Weirdness #65

We removed a couple of old photographs from the dressers in our bedroom. They were nicely framed, and we were fond of them; but they were very, very old. After the holidays, we plan to get some prints of much newer pictures. The current ones has become part of the background which is why we really didn’t think about how old they were. We try not to do things like that; but, sometimes we do despite our best efforts.

P.S: If you celebrate such things, Merry Christmas!

Monday Monologue #65

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • The weather the past weekend was GREAT. It was so warm that we decided to go to the football game on Sunday. We saw some people wearing replica jerseys without long sleeves underneath which is very unusual for a December.
  • We finally completed all of our shopping for Christmas. And we did not purchase anything at Target this shopping season. We know the loss of our business probably won’t make them any more responsible. But we don’t see any reason to respond to their “sale” and reward them for there the poor security.
  • Because of the changes to the dashboard, I had to update the plugin I use to remove links to WordPress TV; but, that’s the only issue I’ve found with the latest version of WordPress. Does anyone actually watch 30- 60 minute videos of people talking?
  • The Wife and I still plan to work out regularly this week; but it’s going to be a lot harder than usual. The gyms we usually go to closed most or all of the week (after today) and it will be too cold to exercise outside until Saturday.

Friday Featurette #64

It didn’t seem like it would ever get here but we are finally on vacation! We’re don’t have any big plans and we are not going anywhere. To celebrate, here is a favorite photograph of The Wife in a naughty Santa outfit. Have a great weekend and a great Christmas holiday.
