An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- After what seemed like ages but was really only a few weeks, The Wife and I were finally able to work out outside. I don’t mind running on the treadmill; but it can get very tedious if I can’t do anything at all outside because of winter weather.
- I changed the “Archives” section of the side bar into a collapsible list by year. I didn’t realize it until I saw how long the old list had gotten and decided to change it; but we are already into our 17th month.
- It’s almost 60-degrees warmer than it was a week ago. Everything has melted except for the frozen slush in the middle of the swimming pool cover. We hope that the worst is behind us; but, realize that is probably not the case since it’s only January. At least the days are getting longer.
- We had another last first today. It’s exciting and depressing at the same time. Exciting because it’s been a long time coming. Depressing because we’re not sure what other first firsts the future holds.
“We had another last first today.” Is there some special significance to this? Just curious!
Old Guy: Monday was the FIRST day of school for our daughter’s LAST semester in college. In just a few month’s neither of our kids will be students for the first time since they stared preschool.
