I left my smart phone on the desk when The Wife and I went out to dinner on Wednesday. I’m not one of the people who is constantly interrupting their interactions with the people they are with to check and reply to messages; but, I still like having it with me, especially since phones have replaced almost every other accessory. On that occasion, we were having a “what-if” discussion and needed a calculator. Naturally, the Wife still had hers so we could still do the computations. It’s amazing how integrated into our lives mobile devices have become. They make a lot of things much easier. Even jonesing for new things. Of course, there still are a few things are much better the old fashioned way.
