An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- After driving all over town for the past week socializing, our recently graduated daughter is asking for gas money so she can get to work. Despite having plenty of advance notice, she’s somehow surprised that we’re not interested in helping to finance her social life.
- A new contractor at work is unhappy that it’s taking a long time to get set everything set up so he can be paid and thinking about “quitting” which, of course, will mean that he’ll never get paid. It’s the same amount of paperwork and bureaucracy whether it’s for a few weeks or an ongoing job so I’m not sure of his “logic”.
- We’ve gotten a LOT of sun the past two weekends. After such a cold long winter, we can’t get enough sunshine. Unfortunately, some of that time outside has been spent cutting the grass and doing yard work. It needs to be done; but we would much rather just get in the pool.
- The Wife and I are MUCH better at rowing now than we were at this time last year. It’s “looks” easy; but it’s actually very difficult when you actually get in the boat. We’ve got very good teamwork which helps a lot when we are out in our favorite two person boat.
