In preparation for this weeks’ vacation, I went shopping for some new swim trunks. Even though it’s just the first week in July, most summer clothing including swimwear was already on sale. I know that vendors don’t want to get stuck with out of season clothing; but, nowadays, it seems like they’re having closeout sales before the season has really even started. I think about getting new things when I’m actually going to use them and realize something needs replacing or updating. I doesn’t plan my purchases, especially clothing, in advance. I wonder how much money stores lose by having “sales” of summer items just when hot weather begins.
