I worked out today just like on any other Friday even though it was the day after Thanksgiving. I really needed to since I ate way too much on Thursday. Like everyone, maintaining my weight over the holidays is a challenge. Especially when its cold like it has been recently. Looking forward to another three days of relaxing. But, I’m sure my favorite college and pro football teams will make it somewhat stressful to be a fan.

Traditional Thursday #113
Happy Thanksgiving! We hope that you are enjoy the day with your family and don’t have to work today, tonight or tomorrow. Our only plans are family, food and football.
Wednesday Weirdness #113
I spend a lot of time in a (semi-confusing) downtown area, so it’s not out of the ordinary to see cars accidentally turn onto one way streets. But it is unusual to see two separate vehicles do it at the same intersection while I am walking past. Especially since this particular intersection is very well marked. There is a lot of oncoming traffic so both drivers were lucky to not cause an accident. There are typically one way streets in most downtown areas so you would think that’s something they would be watching out for ; but, apparently not.
Tuesday Two For #113

After what seemed like forever; but was actually only a few weeks, I’m back to my “normal” self. Life is life; and sometimes I’m still not as good at dealing with its challenges as I would like. So even though … Continue reading
Monday Monologue #113
An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- I had a “good” day of work on what was supposed to be my first day of vacation. Good meaning that I may not need to work on some of the days I had planned for Christmas vacation.
- Amazingly even though I was only in the office to work on a single critical project, one of my co-workers tried numerous times to convince me to that I should also be working on their project too. At first, I was (semi) polite but; finally, I told them to go away and come back next Monday.
- I’m considering purchasing an inexpensive laptop computer during one of the online Black Friday sales. Mostly for travel and to use in the living room when we’re watching TV. Since we’ve got much more powerful computers in elsewhere, the only requirement is that it’s doesn’t cost very much.
- I need to find a new web site to get my weather information now that the one I previously used has been modernized. Last week’s or last month’s weather used to be easy to find and review. Now I can’t even locate the weather for yesterday. I’m not sure how removing information is an improvement.
Friday Featurette #112
It looks like the SSD drive that I purchased recently is going to get more use that I thought since I’ll be working next week rather than taking vacation. I’m hoping to be able to do a lot from home (which is why the drive will come in handy); but it’s still not the relaxing week away that I was hoping for. Sometimes, that’s the way it is. Here’s a cute picture of The Wife. Now it’s back to work for mw.
Traditional Thursday #112

In a sign of how the week has gone for me, I lost the extension tube to the canned air duster that I use to keep my keyboard clean and now I need to purchase another can just for the … Continue reading
Wednesday Weirdness #112
It looks like the “temporary” dog’s stay just got extended. I actually don’t mind the dog (much) now that she’s better trained. It’s the circumstances surrounding her continued resides that are frustrating. And the fact that I’ve had to unexpectedly train a dog. Technically, it isn’t my responsibility; but its far less nuisance to train her to do the things I want for her to do than live with the results of her poor training.
Tuesday Two For #112

I’ve been really busy lately, and haven’t remembered to place an order, so The Wife and I are almost totally out of flavored lubricant. We’ve just used the last of our favorites. Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch up on … Continue reading
Monday Monologue #112
An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- After some ruminations, I ended up getting a Ducky keyboard. It wasn’t quite as expensive as the one that I had originally considered. And it’s “clickier”. So I can both feel AND hear when I hit a key. It’s nosier; but very easy to type quickly and accurately with. Everyone liked it so much that now we have three of them.
- A cold front is moving in and it’s supposed to snow. Snow in November isn’t extremely unusual around here; but, it’s still very, very unwelcome. The snow and cold of last winter is not a fond memory.
- The “retail therapy” that I started a few weeks ago is helping me get out of my funk. Many of the purchases were LONG overdue. It’s amazing how much my mood improved by upgrading a handful of things that I was “making do” with.
- I’m probably not going to get to it; but, I really need to cut the grass one more time before the winter. It’s not obnoxiously long; but, I’ll need to cut it early next spring if I leave it like this. And, the weather the past few weekends has not been cooperating.
