Monday Monologue #175

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • It’s supposed to be turning colder by mid-week; but the unseasonably warm temperatures we had over the weekend were a nice break from the doldrums of winter. Still, we’d love to take a long “winter” vacation in the southern hemisphere.
  • I’ve been getting back into sparring recently. I’ve done it before; but I still needed to re-acclimate myself with people throwing punches at me. Unsurprisingly, I don’t need any readjustment to throw punches.
  • Yet another person gave notice at work last week. I understand their reasons; but it’s frustrating working in an organization that is so understaffed. It’s totally impossible to even get all the reasonable requests we’ve received completed.
  • I scheduled a service visit for our car totally over the internet. It’s so much easier than calling. Life in the 21st century is certainly quicker and more convenient than the days when telephones were all we had.
