Tuesday Two For #192

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs spread wideOur camera wound not turn on when we were setting up for our weekly photograph session so we’re posting reruns (AKA similar photos) from a couple of weeks ago. I’m sure that the battery is the problem even though I charged it overnight. It likely has reached the point where it will not hold a charge. We’re undecided on whether to get a replacement battery or buy a new camera immediately since we haven’t decided exactly what we want. Unfortunately, we need to decide soon.

Monday Monologue #192

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • The three-day weekend we are having has been glorious. It just doesn’t get any better. I am not looking forward to returning to work.
  • If it gets too long, my next door neighbor cuts his grass between visits from his lawn mowing service. If it were me, I would not be doing something myself that also I’m paying someone else to do. It doesn’t grow that much in a few days.
  • The Wife got a little sunburned today. That’s not good, obviously; but, it is nice to have a bright sunny day. We’ve had far too many cool overcast days this spring.
  • Many of the kids who have lived in the neighborhood for a long time were having their college graduation parties on Saturday. Ours have long since graduated; but it still too seems to be seeing kids who were very small when you first met them move on to the next phase of their lives.

Friday Featurette #191

The Wife sitting naked on the bed with a tube of flavored lubricantI can’t think of a better way to kick of a long weekend than spending time with The Wife with one of our “bedroom accessories”. I’ve already cut the grass and completed all of my weekend chores. All I have to do this weekend is relax. The pool is open and temperatures are forecast to be in the upper 80s. It looks like the perfect start to the summer (assuming it doesn’t rain).

Have a great holiday weekend! We’ll see you on the other side.

Traditional Thursday #191

I’m not sure that we’ve mentioned it; but the counter on our camera rolled over and we’ve started reusing file names for saving photographs and videos. They’re saved in separate folders so it’s not confusing. But this is the first time we’ve captured so many files with a single device. We’re certainly looking forward to when we identify and purchase a new one. The output is still very good; but everything else is obsolete.

Wednesday Weirdness #191

When we were on the road this past weekend, we stopped at a gas station that was selling “100% gasoline” as opposed to a gasoline/ethanol blend. I certainly never though I there would be a time when old fashioned “pure gasoline” would be considered a premium product. The world changes in ways we would never think of sometimes.

Monday Monologue #191

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • We celebrated our anniversary this past weekend. Where did the time go? It’s hard to say married; yet many years and two kids later, her we are.
  • We did well at our regatta this weekend. It’s good that we’re still able to get better. And, unlike many couples, we enjoy competing in the same boat with each other.
  • The water in the pool is still cold even though it’s almost Memorial Day. If the weather stays warm and dry, I’m probably finally going to heat it up on Thursday. It’s been so cold and wet since we opened the pool it’s seemed pointless before this week.
  • My new outdoor power equipment makes doing the yard quicker and easier. Plus, the grass looks a lot better. I got it so I would spend less time cutting the grass and have more time for other (fun) things during the summer. A better looking lawn is just an added bonus.

Friday Featurette #190

The Husband and The Wife enjoying a moment togetherOur vacation today was just like a vacation should be. I got up early and cut the grass so I wouldn’t have anything else to do. Later, we went for a row and washed our boat. And we ended the day with a meal at a sumptuous restaurant. The day was very relaxing and a fabulous start to the weekend.

Wednesday Weirdness #190

We haven’t practiced as much we wanted to because of the wacky weather we’ve had; but The Wife and I will soon be rowing in our first race of the season. We certainly didn’t envision racing when we first started. It just seemed a fun way to get exercise. We’ve got a LOT of things we need to work on; but we still race as much as we can. It definitely shows that, you never know unless you try.
