Monday Monologue #199

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • We cleaned the hard water stains off our boat on Friday. Most of the problem was from splashing and not where the boat is continually in the water. It’s amazing how “dirty” water is even when it looks clear. We’ll probably have to do it again later in the summer.
  • I continue to be impressed by the outdoor power equipment I purchased earlier this year. Our yard looks nice even though the grass was tall and slightly wet when I cut it.
  • We were outside for a long time in the burning sun on Sunday. It was glorious. The wife a bit overheated and we didn’t row as hard on our last lap. But we much prefer being “too hot” to being too cold. We like July and August much more than January and February.
  • We’ve had a LOT of short, strong thunderstorms recently but not a lot of steady rains. So we haven’t had to put any water in the pool and the grass is not growing as fast as it does in the spring. Less work for us; but not good for our trees.
