Eye-Fi finally developed a standalone utility which allows me to continue using their wireless memory card for our camera. Apparently there are some security issues in their older products so they need to disable their internet capability. Of course, there was no reason other than poor customer service that they did not plan on providing a replacement capability that would work over home wireless networks where security is not as much of a concern. They created a lot of unnecessary ill will among their customer base then ultimately did what they should have done in the first place. Not the best way to run a business.

Tuesday Two For #205
I still haven’t purchased a new camera or a new camera battery yet. Fortunately, the one we have has just enough power to record a video if I charge it immediately beforehand. So here is a short video to end the month. More to come on Thursday.
Monday Monologue #205
An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- Amazingly, I was only 150 pounds when I weighed myself on Friday. It’s been a long time since I weight that little. It’s been great weather for all of our outside activities so I’m a little bit lighter than usual.
- My next door neighbor cut the grass on Sunday afternoon even though he just cut it Friday. It’s been raining; but not so much that it needs cutting every other day. I won’t be mowing again until next weekend.
- Instead of cutting the grass we got in the pool and enjoyed a burning hot summer day. It was glorious. We don’t know how many more days like Sunday we’re going to get. Especially on weekends when we’ve got plenty of time to get in the pool.
- Since it has been so hot and humid, we’ve been rowing at twilight. It’s cooler and we don’t get home that much later since the sun goes down earlier than in June and July. Unfortunately, we can’t do it all the time since we need daylight to wash our boat.
Friday Featurette #204
We both took a half day off from work today so we could start the weekend of early. I cut the grass so I that it wouldn’t need to be done on Saturday or Sunday and I could relax for the rest of the weekend. I really enjoy taking Friday afternoon off. The only “bad” thing is that we don’t do it more often. It’s a great start to the weekend. Especially one where it looks like we will be able to get into the pool on both days. It may be winding down; but, summer isn’t over yet. Have a great weekend!
Traditional Thursday #204

Here are a couple “regular” photographs because it wouldn’t be a photo session without some. And, of course, we don’t need a lot of advance planning to take pictures like these. Some things we’re always prepared for.
Wednesday Weirdness #204
The most recent Windows update I did lost all my favorites and messed up all my Modern applications again. It wasn’t quite as big if a nuisance since I now know to back up my favorites regularly and keep a PowerShell script to re-register all installed store applications handy. But, it’s still something that I shouldn’t need to do.
Tuesday Two For #204

It rained this afternoon and evening which is good for our lawn but prevented us from rowing until later in the evening than usual which, in turn, made for a late start for our photo session. So, we are posting … Continue reading
Monday Monologue #204
An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- I was finally able to resolve my issues with organizing photos that I copied from my old phone to my new phone. Just like on Windows, uninstalling and reinstalled the app fixed the issue.
- All the rain was good for the lawn; but, it took me a LONG time to mow and edge since the grass was so high. Then we put down mulch in the one area that still needed it. Definitely a busy Saturday; but, good to get things done.
- One of the “bad” things about getting a new vehicle is that some of the accessories I had for the old one don’t fit the new one. I’ll probably be selling some things online one day soon. Of course one of the good things about getting a new vehicle is that’s its comes with a lot of cool new things.
- With long closed roads finally being reopened as a long construction project down, I discovered a quicker way go home from work. It good to not have to take detours every day.
Friday Featurette #203
It wasn’t quite as hot today and yesterday as it has been recently but it was still the sunny and warm summer weather that we enjoy so much. Fall is in the air; especially when it’s cloudy or the sun is low in the sky. But summer isn’t over yet for us. We’ll be doing the long overdue homeowner thing in Saturday then relaxing on Sunday. That’s mostly how we like our weekends during the summer although we’ve got more yardwork than usual to do tomorrow (because of the rain). Have a great weekend!
Traditional Thursday #203
With the rain over the weekend and at the start of the week, the hot weather we were having seems to be over. It’s not cold or even cool yet; but, it probably won’t be “hot” anymore until sometime next year. It was great fun if you love the summer like we do. We’ll still be able to do our thing. But we’re slowly starting to feel like we’re running out of time and the season of summer fun is drawing to a close.
