Tuesday Two For #231

The Wife sitting topless on the floor drying her hairWe’ve returned to our normal cold dreary weather and it doesn’t look like we’ll be rowing anytime soon. Still, it’s good to see February in the rear-view mirror. We’ve got high hopes for March and the official start of spring.

Have a great Fat Tuesday!

Monday Monologue #231

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • I was attended an online training class recently in which the instructor needed to explain to the other attendees what a floppy disk was and why it was used as the icon for the saving a file. I was the only other person who had actually seen/used one.
  • The Wife and I did multiple rows last week. It will probably be a long, long time before we can row in February again since the water and the air both need to be warm. We’re not on our summer schedule yet; but, we’re not stuck inside all the time either.
  • We’ve; been using our SUV for a lot of “utility” type stuff recently. It’s nice having a “station wagon”. The BMV doesn’t a category for sport utility vehicles, so its classified as a station wagon on the registration since it’s built on a car frame.
  • The temporary dog (and her owner) are visiting. It’s been over a year since they lived here yet she still acts that this is her permanent home. We don’t care what she thinks so long as she’s well behaved while she’s here.

Friday Featurette #230

The Wife sitting naked on the bed before a "photo" sessionIt’s already starting to get cold; but The Wife and I got out and rowed again today. It was windy but still warm and very spring-like. Of course, the temperature is supposed to drop throughout the night and it’s supposed to snow on Saturday. We’ve been having some wild temperature swings even for an area known for its rapidly changeable weather. Have a great weekend!

Wednesday Weirdness #230

In addition to my normal work, I am working on three other “high priority” projects. Of course, the managers of each one act like their project is the only thing I have to do. I’d love to have a single task to focus on; but that’s not possible. So, at any given point in time, two people are complaining about what I’m (not) doing. Friday cannot come soon enough.

Tuesday Two For #230

The Husband going down on The WifeI’m finally starting to recover from whatever it is that I’m fighting. Still not back to normal; but I’m definitely on the mend. Record breaking temperatures (for February) are forecast and it looks like I’ll be able to get out and enjoy them. I don’t like being sick; especially when there is stuff we want to do. Our life can be busy and that’s the way I like it.

Monday Monologue #230

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • I was/am still sick; but The Wife and I rowed on Saturday. It’s not very often that we would be able to row in February, so we wanted to make the most of the most of the warm weather.
  • We had a few customizations done to our boat over the winter and it looks amazing. We row it all the time so it gets used; but it’s still a sharp looking piece of equipment.
  • It wasn’t quite warm enough today so we went to the park and ran. It was fabulous wearing shorts and a T-shirt during an outdoor workout this time of year.
  • The weather was so nice that even cleaning the oven over the weekend didn’t seem like much of a chore. We could certainly get used to 60-degree weather in February.

Traditional Thursday #229

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airThe cold/flu that I seem to have caught (again) seems to be getting worse and I’m starting to feel more than a bit unwell. I don’t get sick very often; but when I do, I hate it. I have no imagination today; but, here is a picture from our photo session anyway.

Wednesday Weirdness #229

When I was on my way to my evening workout, I saw someone driving the wrong way down a one-way street because they were too lazy to go around the block. Instead, they made two lanes of oncoming traffic yield. People who think rules are for other people can be really obnoxious.
