We’ve winding down the dog days of summer and are enjoying each and every one of them. Labor Day is right around the corner and we are not happy to see it arrive. This summer has flown past in a blink of an eye. We did a twilight row this week that was MUCH earlier than it would have been last month. It’s becoming very clear that we don’t have that much summer left. So, we are going to enjoy it while it lasts.
We replaced all the wheels on the seats on our boat today. I hadn’t realized how worn they were. Just like everything else, you don’t realize when things slowly degrade over time. The new ones don’t squeak and roll much more smoothly. I guess that’s yet one more thing that we need to do every year or so.
We haven’t made a lot of progress toward fixing the sound tracks on videos. The best solution would be to reduce the noise at its source; but, there isn’t an easy way to do that besides getting a new bed. The second-best solution would be to take pictures elsewhere; but that isn’t regularly possible, especially with our summer schedule. So, it’s still on the to-do list as we search for alternatives.
An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- The events of this past weekend went well. Despite rain on Friday and Sunday. the weather on Saturday was great and everyone had a good time. And, it’s getting to be normal behavior; but the temporary dog was very well behaved.
- I had my car in the shop for what should have been a simple task which ended up taking hours. New vehicles are nice; but they all of their electronics makes them extremely complicated.
- I purposefully didn’t cut the grass over the weekend. It isn’t too long yet; but it will be by next weekend. Especially if it rains. But that’s the way of things. I would rather be cutting grass tan shoveling snow.
- We had a great row today. We can go faster than we thought we could when we are adding speed and power. All of the work we’ve done this summer has been beneficial.
Here are a couple of photographs of The Wife preparing for our photo session. A good time was had by all, even if we don’t have video evidence.
There is a new version of WordPress available which apparently fixes some of the things that the last update broke. IT would be better to NOT break things. But, when you use “free” software, you get what you get. And, in some cases what you get is a gigantic nuisance.
Posting a few pictures while I work on a solution to our sound problem. I may need to use another device entirely to record the audio and add the recorded soundtrack with software. Hopefully it won’t come to that.
