We are still in movie mode before the springs get too loud. The new bed is nice but it gets a lot of “use”. Enjoy.

Wednesday Weirdness #291
Still working on getting the “waterproof” rowing electronic item I accidentally drowned repaired. Even though I both emailed and called the vendor, they still sent the wrong thing. Fortunately, their customer service is U.S. based. So, there is hope.
Tuesday Two For #291
Today was the start of a short week. It’s always easier to get back into the grove on Tuesday after a Monday holiday than on Monday after a Friday holiday. (Even though we are still count the days until next weekend.) Having a great holiday weekend like we did this past weekend did make it a bit more difficult. Hopefully there will be many more glorious days ahead this summer.
Monday Monologue #291
An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- The Girl and her clan (AKA husband and two dogs) unexpectedly made it home for the weekend. Weekends like this don’t come around too often.
- After sitting unused in the basement for years, we’ve started riding our bicycles again. You never forget how to ride a bicycle. But, helmets don’t age as gracefully. The new ones we purchased are cooler and more comfortable than the ones we had before.
- We rearranged are storage in the garage over the weekend. It wasn’t haphazard. But, some things had spread out and were making it some items hard to reach. You can never have enough storage space.
- It rained on Saturday; but we got in the pool on Today and Sunday. We didn’t even need to turn on the heater. It was a glorious weekend ending up with dinner on the grill.
Friday Featurette #290
Memorial Day weekend is finally upon us! Temperatures near 90-degrees are forecast on Sunday and Monday so we’re planning to get outside and enjoy the sun.

Traditional Thursday #290
We did not have a lot photographs since the camera stopped taking pictures. Fortunately, there were a few that we liked so, we can post a mix of new photos and videos rather than reaching into the way-back machine.
Wednesday Weirdness #290
The Wife hit a chuck hole on the highway that totally destroyed her tire. Thankfully, the wheel appears to be OK. Still, it’s an expensive repair since a new tire for her vehicle is not cheap. One of the hazards of living in an area where they salt the roads in the winter and are slow to patch the damage in the spring.
Tuesday Two For #290
For reasons that are still unknown, our camera turned itself off (again) in the middle of our photo session. Rather than waste time investigating, I just set it up to take a video and made sure that it started. Then I continued doing what I was doing before noticing that the camera was off.
Monday Monologue #290
An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- We had a good race this weekend with our new boats. Even though we already had one we row together, we did not realize how much of a difference having a good new boat would make in the individual events.
- We had a great anniversary celebration on Sunday. It’s hard to believe that its been thirty years. Where did the time go?
- I did cut the grass this weekend despite being busy racing and celebrating our anniversary. Having a lawn mower that can power through wet grass without bogging down is very handy when we have things to do.
- I updated the version of WordPress which powers this site yet again. The authors keep adding to it. But, despite the frequent updates, whatever is broken seems to stay that way.
Friday Featurette #289
Here is another candid photograph of the wife relaxing on the bed. We have had a lot of sun in recent weeks so she has much more of a tan than in similar pictures from earlier in the year. May had been a good month to get out an enjoy the sunshine. We will be doing even more of that in the future. Like most spring days, there is a chance of thunderstorms this weekend. But; there will be some sun too. Have a great weekend.
