Traditional Thursday #329

The Wife sitting naked on the bed with a tube of flavored lubricantIt’s that time of the month for The Wife. So, we put a towel on top of the bed lines just in case. I’m not sure where they went; but we used to have a couple of old towels that we only used for this purpose. Newer and more absorbent is better for preventing stains, so the one we worked well. It just made me think about old times and whatever became of our original set that we used for many, many years.

Wednesday Weirdness #329

I’ve had so many long phone calls recently that I’ve had to start charging my mobile phone while I am at work. I know everyone has to deal with unproductive meetings. But that still doesn’t make them any more tolerable. Especially when I have days that are filled with them.

Monday Monologue #329

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • Amazingly, we survived this weekend’s windstorm without a power failure. More often than not, we’re the unlucky ones who lose power, sometimes for days.
  • I’ve recently started using a fitness tracker. It will be interesting to see how I compare to The Wife. She’s had one for a while now.
  • Working downtown, I often see cars going the wrong way on one-way streets. Usually, they turn around or turn off once they realize. But for the first time, I saw a driver increase speed in an attempt to reach the two-way portion that is quite some distance away as quickly as possible.
  • The latest update of our smart phones’ mail app doesn’t always retrieve all the mail from the server. It’s a very unlikely scenario that probably most people never encounter. Unfortunately, it happens for us all the time. It took a while; but we’ve got a workaround which is good since the issue will probably never get fixed since it is so rare for everyone else.

Friday Featurette #328

The Wife sitting naked on the bed before a "photo" sessionUnsurprisingly, there was an upgrade notice for a new version of WordPress greeting me on the dashboard when I logged in. Their release cadence is crazy. Once every 2 or 3 months would be fine. Not the other way around like it has bene recently. Especially since updates often seem to break something. An unavoidable nuisance task I’ll be doing tomorrow or Sunday. Have a great weekend.

Traditional Thursday #328

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airI complain a lot about the winter weather since we can’t do nearly as much outside as we can during the summer. I would complain a lot more if we didn’t have an attached garage and I didn’t have covered parking and long-range remote start I didn’t park when I’m at work or running errands. When you use them every day, luxuries almost seem like necessities. We’ve probably become spoiled; but I like it that way. It makes the winter tolerable.

Wednesday Weirdness #328

I basically got an email saying that I had fulfilled a request incorrectly and it needed to be fixed immediately. Of course, I hadn’t previously been informed about the special requirements. I wanted to respond (but didn’t) that I had no way of knowing since no one ever bothered to tell me. Instead I was polite. Still, it’s very frustrating when people expect you to read their mind and be aware of things they have never mentioned.

Tuesday Two For #328

The Wife standing naked in front of the mirror drying her hairI got home very late from work today. So, we are only posting a snapshot I took of The Wife drying her hair. The busy winter for me just won’t stop. I am really looking forward to the day when we will have more time to plan and prepare for our picture-taking sessions. We’re not rushed. But we are can’t totally forget that its already a late evening. And, of course, it’s snowing (again). This never-ending winter just won’t quite go away.

Monday Monologue #328

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).

  • Today is a holiday for some. Unfortunately, I am not one of the lucky ones. For me it was just a regular work day. Memorial Day is still a long way away.
  • I had to recharge the tank of our reverse osmosis unit thus weekend. Unfortunately, you can only add air when the tank is empty. Then you have to wait for hours until the tank refills to see if it’s under or over filled. Not the best way to spend a Sunday.
  • We decided to watch a movie in the home theater since it was typical February weather outside. We (especially me) like our spectacle-type moves. They look great on a big screen with surround sound. Much better than on the A/V system in the living room.
  • I put my snowmobile suit back in the basement. Not because the weather forecast calls for warmer weather. Despite the winterly mix we are having today, I’m hoping the bitterly cold snowy days are over.

Friday Featurette #327

The Wife sitting naked on the bed before a "photo" sessionI actually left work “early” for me for a Friday. Which means that I didn’t leave as late as I have been going home recently. And, I won’t be doing any work this weekend like I have been. So, this weekend will be as relaxing as a cold, gray February weekend can be. Long days as work are more “tolerable” during the winter when I’m stuck inside. But I still hope that things slow down. Have a great weekend.
