My next-door neighbor has already cut his grass TWICE this week. Meanwhile, I still haven’t started mowing yet. Our yard is getting to the point where it needs cutting; but, it’s only recently started to turn green. I’m sure I’ll start cutting the grass in early April someday. Just not this year. It’s not long. Only slightly unkempt. Once I cut it, it will be the same length as the neighbors.
A K-Cup came apart while being brewed in our single-serve coffee maker and got grounds everywhere. I finally had to partially disassemble the unit to get everything cleaned out. We enjoy the varieties of single serve. But the coffee makers themselves a lot more finicky than a traditional coffee maker. Hopefully we won’t have another problem for a while.
I found what went wrong with our camera in the previous photo session. It was set to take only up to 2 pictures. So, it did what it was supposed to. I don’t know why it forgot what it’s normal setting; but its fixed now. It’s a nuisance to change since it only changes one number at a time so you have to keep holding the button for a long time. Yet one more reason to get a new one.
An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife)
- I’ve reconfigured my outdoor power equipment for the summer. The grass is turning green and it’s almost time to for the first mowing of the season. My next door neighbor has already started.
- It’s definitely more comfortable in the house now that I’ve fixed the furnace. It probably wasn’t working as well as normal before it totally died.
- We went down to the river but didn’t row on Sunday due to high winds. Usually we’re more determined; but, rowing season has just started and there will be a lot more opportunities.
- Good luck to whichever team you’re cheering for in tonight’s championship. None of our favorites a participating, so we’re just hoping for a good game.
I left work (almost) on time today and The Wife and I had a relaxing Friday afternoon row. Going home on time shouldn’t be a notable event; but, unfortunately, it has been recently. Hopefully leaving work at a reasonable time is a trend that will continue. Tomorrow is may be the warmest day of the year so far and we are looking forward to it. Have a great weekend.
I installed the replacement part for the furnace that I was waiting on earlier today shortly after it was delivered. It appears to have fixed the problem. Now we are as warm as we want to be. Its good to have heat. Even if were don’t need it too much. But, sometimes, it seems as if I spend far too much of my time doing the homeowner thing.
After surviving the winter, our furnace is broken (again). I’ve ordered a replacement part that should be here soon. Of course, its old enough that it could be something else. Thankfully. Its not freezing cold outside. Last night was a bit chilly. But, not like in the depths of winter. We’re really glad it’s mostly spring.
Were back online! All is well except for a bit more cleanup from the network connectivity issue while we were on hiatus. Its rare for us to take a week off; but sometimes, real life makes it necessary. Our camera stopped working (again) during our photo session. So, we have a limited selection of pictures. Very annoying when that happens. We’ll probably reach into the way-back machine and post “old” from the week we were offline. We still have a few things to catch up on. But, in the meantime, it’s good to publish a new post.
