Friday Featurette #339

The Wife sitting naked on the bed with a tube of flavored lubricantLike many people, we will be on the road for the Memorial Day holiday and the unofficial start of summer. Then we will be offline next week and resume posting in June. Have a great 3-day weekend!

P.S. I know I am often always late with these pre-holiday posts. I would rather be late with posting and start my vaca on time than the other way around.

Traditional Thursday #339

The Wife riding The Husband's dick cowgirl styleI installed yet another version of WordPress, the software hat runs this blog, yesterday. The updates, are never ending. Another one is due in two weeks; but they couldn’t wait since the last update broke so much. And, somehow, slowing down and testing more thoroughly doesn’t seem to be an option. I don’t know when yet; but we’re definitely getting off the merry-go-round of constant updates.

Wednesday Weirdness #339

The person we call the “scavenger dude” who comes by in the night before trash collection took the broken electric trimmer. He’s going to be disappointed to discover that I wasn’t just upgrading and the pawl in the trimmer head is broken. I wonder what he does with stuff once he finds out it doesn’t work and was in the garbage for a reason.

Tuesday Two For #339

The Wife preparing to mount The Husband's dick cowgirl styleAnother turn with the sun for The Wife and I. Where have the years gone? I guess that’s how it always is. When things are going poorly, the days drag on forever. And when things are going good, time flies by. So, it’s good that time keeps zooming by for us.

Monday Monologue #339

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife)

  • Our yard looks great. I spent all day Saturday outside mowing, trimming edging and cleaning the pool. Of course, I didn’t do anything fun.
  • The feeder on my electric trimmer broke and started eating string so I switched to my gas trimmer which, amazingly, started on the first pull. Then it’s feeder also broke down when I was touching up the last few areas. Hopefully I can get the replacement parts before I need to use it again.
  • It may be pointless given recent history; but we turned our smart thermostat to our preferred summer settings which favor cooling rather than heating.
  • No rowing again today. These days, it seems that we spend more time checking to see when river will be rowable than actually rowing.

Friday Featurette #338

The Wife sitting naked on the bed before a "photo" sessionUnsurprisingly, it rained HARD last night. So, our weekend plans are cancelled which seems to be the story of the spring whenever we plan to do anything requiring several consecutive days of good weather. If it doesn’t rain any more, it should dry out enough to cut the grass and do the homeowner thing. So, at least we can be productive (and slightly frustrated). Have a great weekend!

Traditional Thursday #338

The Husband and The Wife geting readyI finally got around to ordering the update for the navigation system in our SUV. It’s a good thing to do prior to the start of a busy summer travel season. But you really need to already be in the midst of a road trip; since the update takes about an hour and the vehicle has to be running the entire time. I realize that its only something that needs to be done once a year. Still, you would have thought there would be an easier way.

Wednesday Weirdness #338

We had a warm, sunny day today! Warm enough so that, even though I was busy until the evening, we could go for a row at sunset and still have it be a pleasant temperature. We enjoy rowing at dusk when it’s warm (as long as we don’t encounter any skunks when we put our boat away). The weather has been trending warmer. Hopefully, a warm evening won’t seem notable.

Tuesday Two For #338

The Wife kneeling naked in front of the mirror drying her hairAfter the ordeal of cutting tall wet grass in the rain this past weekend, a robotic lawn mower is looking better and better. It’s still far down on the list of things to buy. But it would be nice to have one; especially given our recent weather. When we finally have a sunny day, yard work is the last think I want to be doing. It really would be nice to remotely cut the grass from an app on my phone while I was out doing something I wanted to do. That is new technology that I would really use.

Monday Monologue #338

An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife)

  • The Wife had a good Mother’s Day weekend. Its always good when we can all be around the same table at dinner. Even if it’s only for one day.
  • Sunday was cold, wet and miserable. And unfortunately, grass cutting day. Since I’m busy through the week, I need to cut the grass over the weekend regardless of weather. The blade lawn mower kept fouling in the tall wet grass. So, I spent an extra-long time in the outside in rain.
  • I think that I’m catching a cold. Probably from the yesterday. Not the best way to start the week.
  • It’s supposed to warm up later this week; hopefully for good. We’ve been teased before. We’re hoping it stays warm for the rest of the summer. We’ve both had enough of this cold, wet spring.
