I recently reinstalled Twitter on my phone and almost instantly regretted it. I’m constantly getting notifications for “recommended content” that I’m not interested in yet I can’t disable them without missing notifications for the things that I follow. Very frustrating; especially since I installed it to follow a few specific feeds. Unwanted ads are far to pervasive these days. I know that we are never going back. But, I long for the early days of the web where it was fun to browse and discover new content and not be constant bombarded with advertisements and pop-ups. As always, there are no ads and no tracking cookies here. Just something we do for fun.
