Friday Featurette #377
Both Saturday and Sunday are forecast to be good days to get outside and enjoy the rare sunshine. Sunday won’t be so good because we’ll be recovering from the time change. But, we will enjoy having an extra hour of daylight in the evening.

And, just like that, tomorrow is the last day of February. This winter has been “mild” for around here. We’ve had some cold and some snow, and, of course, the endless dreary days. But, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

When I was rearraigning things for some, I mixed up where the cables should optimally be plugged in on our USB charging station. Now The Wife’s Fitbit takes twice as long to charge. Unfortunately, I can’t find the manual and none of the higher amperage ports are marked. It may just be time for an upgrade considering I paid less than $20 for it several years ago. I spoke to soon about the winter not being too bad. We had an ice storm followed by snow fall. Certainly not the sort of weather to be out and about in. And, since its February, it won’t melt for a while. Hopefully we won’t have too many more winter storms.

Today is the last day of the month and we are happy to put January into the past. It hasn’t been a bad month. In fact, its been “good” as cold, dreary winter months go. We didn’t even have much snow. But, it’s still not any fun being stuck indoors for people who like to be outside. Have a great weekend. Good luck to your team in the big game on Sunday.

Today was an exceptionally dreary day. It wasn’t quite as cold as it has been. But there was a cold rain the entire day. And after a very busy Saturday last week, I am really looking forward to this coming weekend since I have nothing but my usually Saturday stuff to do, and my Sunday is totally free.

The weekend is finally here and we are so ready. Hopefully, we’ll get over the final hump and be fully recovered by Monday. I’ve got a busy Saturday planed; but The Wife should be able to stay in and relax. A quiet weekend or, in my case, a quiet Sunday, is very timely. And, The Wife has Monday off so it’s a 3-day weekend for her.

One of the (few) good things about dog-sitting is that they are non-shedding breeds. And since they don’t eat things we don’t have to dog-proof the house. So, if they aren’t barking, and you don’t stumble over their toys, you can forget that they are around. But we are still counting down the days.
