Friday Featurette #327

The Wife sitting naked on the bed before a "photo" sessionI actually left work “early” for me for a Friday. Which means that I didn’t leave as late as I have been going home recently. And, I won’t be doing any work this weekend like I have been. So, this weekend will be as relaxing as a cold, gray February weekend can be. Long days as work are more “tolerable” during the winter when I’m stuck inside. But I still hope that things slow down. Have a great weekend.

The Wife in the bathroom getting ready for a phots sessionAmazingly, our basement did not flood despite our home being without power to run the sump pump for several hours while the ground was saturated with water due to melting snow and heavy rain fall. We were very lucky. The sump pump cycled on and off for a long time after the power came back on. It never used to run even in the spring. Now, with the rising water table over the last few years, we will probably be purchasing a battery backup in the very near future.

Have a great weekend!

The Husband and The Wife enjoying a moment togetherThe extremely cold weather that accompanied the polar vortex is finally over. We got a bunch of stow dumped upon us overnight. But even though the roads were terrible and schools and businesses were closed, it didn’t seem so bad since the forecast for this weekend will actually be warm enough to melt a lot of the snow. So I’m really going to enjoy any day that isn’t freezing cold and/or snowing. Have a great weekend. And best of luck to whichever team you are rooting for on Sunday.

The Wife sitting naked on the bed before a "photo" sessionA hopefully quiet weekend awaits me. I’ve completed two high-priority projects at work and perhaps only a light dusting of snow is in the forecast. So, the only things I “need” to do are get a couple of workouts in and wash my car. We’ll probably watch one of the Blu-Rays we have. And look at the huge pile of snow in the tree lawn and wonder how many days or weeks or months before we can row again. Have a great weekend.

The Husband and The Wife enjoying a moment togetherIn a replay of last weekend, a big snowstorm is once again forecast for this weekend. After the snow stops temperatures are supposed to drop to below zero and freeze everything in one of the worst combinations possible. Plus, 45mph winds are expected. We’ve stocked up on groceries, I’ve gotten gas for the snow blower and I’ve located my snowmobile suit. We don’t need to go anywhere except for perhaps a quick workout if the gym is open. Otherwise, we’ll be home in a comfortable environment. Say warm. Stay safe. And have a great weekend.

The Husband and The Wife enjoying a moment togetherThe long days at work are continuing, and Christmas vacation seems even more distant, if possible. I don’t want/need to leave work early on Friday. I would be happy to just be able to leave on time. And not receive a bunch of emails in the evening and over the weekend that make me already behind on Monday. A big snowstorm is forecast to move through the area. Stay safe and have a great weekend.

The Husband and The Wife hhanging positionsToday is our last photo post of the year. It’s amazing how quickly this year has passed. Its been a good year for us, although there were some occasional bumps along the way. We hope that you are preparing for another four-day weekend. If we don’t see you until 2019, have a happy New Year.

The Wife sitting naked on the bed before a "photo" sessionWe did not have a lot of options for todays photograph due to the previously mentioned technical difficulties. Whether or not I buy depends upon the prices I find; but, I will definitely be checking the after-Christmas sales for the new camera I want. Starting today, we’re on Christmas vacation. We hope you’re on vacation too, or at least will be able to enjoy a four-day weekend. Even if you have to work we wish you a merry Christmas.

The Husband and The Wife enjoying a moment togetherI am having a very difficult time finding a new camera. Most mid-level consumer cameras do not have the ability to take time-lapse photos which, obviously, is a requirement. Many of the less expensive ones are made by off shore manufacturers without an (English) online presence which makes it impossible to review the manual for available features. And the product listings online don’t typically have much detail besides price and resolution. So far, the search for an affordable, name brand camera with the necessary functions has been fruitless and frustrating.
