I am very late in posting these pictures; primarily because our computer picked today to install Window’s October Update. We didn’t lose any files which was a good thing. But the update process took almost six hours! The “This may … Continue reading
I upgraded WordPress the software which runs this blog earlier this week. According to the documentation, it was a “major” version update; but, so far, I haven’t discovered any new features. Still I’m sure that there will quick succession of “minor” releases to fix whatever is broken. Hopefully this site will not be affected by any of the inevitable bugs. Have a great weekend.
Unfortunately, the cold I had continues to persist. I don’t get sick very often and usually not for a long time so a long running illness is unusual for me. Plus, it’s cold, wet and dreary outside which doesn’t help. … Continue reading
It’s just the first week in December and I already seem to have caught my first (and hopefully) last winter cold of the season. I feel almost “OK” which means I’m not miserable. But, I would much rather be feel … Continue reading
After all the busy weekends, we do not have much planned for Saturday or Sunday. It’s supposed to rain. So, even though it will be warm, we won’t be able to row or do any yard work. It will be good to relax. Unfortunately, I expect it’s just the first weekend of manythat we’ll be reminiscing about the summer and anxiously waiting for spring.
Have a great weekend.
It’s only November and I’m already tired of winter weather. Technically, winter doesn’t start until next month. Obviously, the weather will get worse before it gets better. But, it’s still cold, windy, dark and damp outside. Plus, the office where … Continue reading
It wasn’t “significant”; but, it was still depressing to see snow on the ground and ice on the roads. It already seems like January even though its only November. We’re hoping for a mild winter; which doesn’t seem to likely considering how cold and blustery November has been. After last year’s cold snowy winter, almost anything would be an improvement.
There were a lot of walkers at the Turkey run we did this past week. I don’t understand why they don’t start toward the back as instructed in the race information. Instead, they start at the front and slow all the runners down. The race was crowded so it took us over a mile to pass them all. If I was walking, I wouldn’t want to have runner after runner streaming by me for such a long time. Especially if I was trying to walk with someone.
We are slowly transitioning to our winter schedule. This has been a strange year weather-wise. It was cool in the spring, then suddenly it was roasting hot. The fall was warm, then the weather quickly turned cold. We didn’t have the gradual transitions that are typical with the change of seasons. We’re just hoping that the coming winter is not bitter cold like last year. Have a great weekend.
