Here are some photographs of The Wife’s new diaphragm. Unlike her old one, its “ergonomically designed”. They are relatively rare devices and getting harder and harder to find. The style she previously used was discontinued by the manufacturer. And the … Continue reading
An interior monologue from me (and sometimes the wife).
- We survived Friday the 13th (and a nearly full moon) without any major mishaps. But it was somewhat eerie.
- It’s been very dry here. So much so that we had to water the grass (and skip mowing) over the weekend. It’s probably too dry; but we clear weather is good for row rowing races.
- It’s going to be a long season for our favorite professional football team.
- The Wife got a new diaphragm. More on that later.
We noticed when I was replacing a burned out light bulb in our bath room that all of the others were getting dim. So, I replaced them as well. There is a lot more light. That’s good for most things. … Continue reading
Here is a short video of the most important part of the preparation for a photo session—The Wife inserting her diaphragm. It’s getting harder and harder to find the appropriate supplies; but it still works well for us which is the most important thing.
Here are a couple of photographs of The Wife preparing for our photo session. A good time was had by all, even if we don’t have video evidence.
Since we already need to transcode for the web, I’m experimenting with rotating videos during the conversion to MP4. We don’t have a specific requirement. But, it would be nice to know how to do it in case the need arises in the future. One day, we may take a really cool video with the camera sideways and want to flip it. Anyway, here is the result of our first experiment. A short clip of The Wife inserting her diaphragm. As you can see she is well practiced at it.
We plan to create a photo post celebrating the one year anniversary of this blog when we are not so busy being soccer parents. In the interim, we couldn’t think of anything more representative of us than The Wife putting … Continue reading
For a variety of reasons, this has been LONG week for The Wife and me. We’ve got things to do on Saturday; but, hopefully, there will still be time for the activities that occur after the event featured in this photograph. August has been unseasonably cool, so I will still need to cut the grass and work in the yard this weekend. But; we can still sleep in!
Have a great weekend. We’ll see you on the other side.
Today, we are posting another candid photo from our last photo session. It was totally unplanned; but we really liked how the lights in the background framed the shot. This image is definitely in the “a picture is worth a thousand words” category. And, of course, The Wife putting in her diaphragm is always good.
Today is the first full day of summer and longest day of the year. And, the weather has been sunny and warm. It’s really starting to feel like summer. So, as the Friday before the Friday before our customary Independence Day vacation concludes, The Wife and I are wishing for a time machine. We would like nothing better than to fast forward to our much anticipated Fourth of July staycation. We’ve definitely got sumeritis.
