We’ve got another busy weekend ahead. Last weekend turned out OK (which means we didn’t get rained on constantly) despite a questionable weather forecast. We are hoping for more of the same this weekend. See you on the other side. We’ll let you know how it goes. And have a great weekend yourself. Memorial Day is only two weeks away.
Frustratingly. the river only stayed rowable for a day and a half before the water went up again. For people who like outdoor activities, all the high water we have been having is annoying. Since most of the local multi-purpose trails are near the river, we can’t run or ride or bikes either. I definitely will have time to cut the grass this weekend which should make the next door neighbor happy. Have a great weekend.
I found what went wrong with our camera in the previous photo session. It was set to take only up to 2 pictures. So, it did what it was supposed to. I don’t know why it forgot what it’s normal setting; but its fixed now. It’s a nuisance to change since it only changes one number at a time so you have to keep holding the button for a long time. Yet one more reason to get a new one.
I had to work very late today which is not the best way to start the weekend. I almost didn’t get to the gym in time enough to get a workout in before it closed. Plus, I still had a few things to finish up after I got home. But, now I’m done with everything and ready for a quiet, relaxing weekend. Seems like I’ve had a lot of long days recently. ‘m not going to worry about that now. Besides going to the gym, I have nothing else I need to do. Have a great weekend.
The wind has been howling outside all evening. Definitely not a time to be outdoors. Its not as cold as it has been recently. But rain and high winds make it just as miserable. It’s just perception; but summer seems … Continue reading
The extremely cold weather that accompanied the polar vortex is finally over. We got a bunch of stow dumped upon us overnight. But even though the roads were terrible and schools and businesses were closed, it didn’t seem so bad since the forecast for this weekend will actually be warm enough to melt a lot of the snow. So I’m really going to enjoy any day that isn’t freezing cold and/or snowing. Have a great weekend. And best of luck to whichever team you are rooting for on Sunday.
The weekend is here! Three days seemed like a long time after Christmas vacation. And, of course, there has already been a crisis. Just once, I would like to be involved early, when things are problems that can be resolved … Continue reading
I upgraded WordPress the software which runs this blog earlier this week. According to the documentation, it was a “major” version update; but, so far, I haven’t discovered any new features. Still I’m sure that there will quick succession of “minor” releases to fix whatever is broken. Hopefully this site will not be affected by any of the inevitable bugs. Have a great weekend.
There were a lot of walkers at the Turkey run we did this past week. I don’t understand why they don’t start toward the back as instructed in the race information. Instead, they start at the front and slow all the runners down. The race was crowded so it took us over a mile to pass them all. If I was walking, I wouldn’t want to have runner after runner streaming by me for such a long time. Especially if I was trying to walk with someone.
One day earlier this week, I stopped by the optometrist and had my glasses adjusted. It’s amazing how much better I see when the lenses are property aligned. Progressive lenses are great, unfortunately; they aren’t the best for my lifestyle. Particularly since being extra careful with frames doesn’t blend well with being active.
Anyway, have a great weekend.
