I spoke to soon about the winter not being too bad. We had an ice storm followed by snow fall. Certainly not the sort of weather to be out and about in. And, since its February, it won’t melt for a while. Hopefully we won’t have too many more winter storms.

I upgraded WordPress the software which runs this blog earlier this week. According to the documentation, it was a “major” version update; but, so far, I haven’t discovered any new features. Still I’m sure that there will quick succession of “minor” releases to fix whatever is broken. Hopefully this site will not be affected by any of the inevitable bugs. Have a great weekend.
One day earlier this week, I stopped by the optometrist and had my glasses adjusted. It’s amazing how much better I see when the lenses are property aligned. Progressive lenses are great, unfortunately; they aren’t the best for my lifestyle. Particularly since being extra careful with frames doesn’t blend well with being active.

I really like the fact that the gym I now work out at during lunch hour is within easy walking distance. The downside to working downtown is that parking isn’t convenient for lunchtime errands. I would actually do more waking if I walked to the garage where I park usually park my car, drove to the nearest parking in vicinity of the gym, and walked inside than if I just walked directly there. I don’t mind walking. That’s one of the things I like about working downtown. I prefer to walk. Except when its freeing cold outside. Then I find myself longing for summer even more than I already am.
The Friday before a LONG weekend has arrived! We’ve both been waiting for this day for months. We’ll row, get in the pool and, otherwise, just do not much of anything. It’s raining now but we’re hopeful that it will pass through and that we can get out and enjoy the sun. We’re finally on vacation.

I can’t believe it’s already May. I’m not complaining. It just doesn’t seem that long ago that we were rowing in February. Probably because it was warmer in then than it is now. There’s more sunlight, but the past few days have been thoroughly unrowable (which is unusual for this time of year). We both enjoy the burning hot days of summer and wish they had already started. You can never have too much war summery weather.
The Wife and I were NOT on vacation this today; however, we’ve still got another busy weekend planned. Technically, fall has arrived. But, were still doing summer activities and plan to continue for as long as we can. Unlike the past few years where it was either snowing or raining sideways the first weekend in October, tomorrow and Sunday are forecast to be warm and relatively sunny. Have a great weekend. I know we’re going to enjoy the sun.
If our camera worked and we weren’t posting “reruns”, we would be wearing Wine and Gold in support of our favorite basketball team. We should have a new unit or a replacement part soon. Until then, you’ll just have to imagine us with our spirit wear. Good luck to your favorite team tonight.
