Traditional Thursday #370

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airWe are back in the saddle today in more ways than one. It feels good to be back. I don’t know what we caught; but I hope to never have it again. The only “good” thing is that we really didn’t miss anything fun as we’re in the midst of a dark dreary winter. It hasn’t been bitter cold. But still not the sort of weather that we would have wanted to do anything outside.

Friday Featurette #369

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs togetherOne of the (few) good things about dog-sitting is that they are non-shedding breeds. And since they don’t eat things we don’t have to dog-proof the house. So, if they aren’t barking, and you don’t stumble over their toys, you can forget that they are around. But we are still counting down the days.

Have a great weekend.

Traditional Thursday #369

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airToday felt like a Monday; but was actually a Thursday which is a good thing since I am still sick. And now The Wife is starting to get sick too. Having to go out and walk dogs doesn’t help either. At least we have a fenced back yard so they don’t have to go on a walk for every potty break.

Traditional Thursday #367

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airModern technology is great except when it is wrong. The “check vent” light on our dryer came on. Checking the vent is easy. But moving everything out of the way, getting the ducting disconnected and reconnected is a pain. And, after all of that, I didn’t find any obstructions despite checking every bend and curve. I did, however manage to get covered in dust and lint. The machine likely mis identified what it was drying and though it should dry sooner or with less heat.

Traditional Thursday #366

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs togetherThe pictures this week are kinda dark. I was going to light them up in the photo editor when I was cropping and resizing them; but decided not to since its been such a dark, dreary week. Next Saturday cannot come soon enough. The Winter solstice may be the start of winter; but, at least the days will (slowly) be getting longer. And, just knowing that sunset is getting later every day helps us survive the winter.

Traditional Thursday #365

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airI upgraded our photo editing program on Cyber Monday as I do every year or two and then couldn’t find any of the tools I use. It was somehow configured to start in the very basic “Essentials” perspective after the upgrade which hides most of the features. A minor hiccup, but it was a maddening search of all the different menu items to re-enable the more advanced “Complete” perspective.
