Traditional Thursday #302

Our new refrigerator is great. Our only “complaint” is that it doesn’t make ice as fast as the old one even though the freezer is colder. And, of course, it was gigantically expensive. We’ll have a few cool days that we will not need much, if any, ice for our sports water bottles and the ice maker will eventually fill up. But, we’ll remember the cost for a long time. Not having a lot of low-cost options is one of the unfortunate realities of our kitchen.

Tuesday Two For #302

It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that summer had just started and we were enjoying the long days; but, sadly, it’s become apparent that summer is definitely starting to wane. The evenings are cooler and sunset is 45-minutes earlier than it used to be. We still have plenty of time to have a good row. But, its usually getting dark by the time we are home. It’s been a great summer that has zoomed by all too quickly.

Traditional Thursday #301

Our “broken” refrigerator can keep things cool so long as we don’t open it. So, we’re using it for a few items that don’t fit in the other one. Until the new one arrives. We’ve had a LOT of things break this year. So, in addition to spending a bunch of money, we’ve often found ourselves waiting for the new ones to get delivered.

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the air

Traditional Thursday #297

Now that the air conditional isn’t so loud and doesn’t have an annoying vibration, we’ve moved the bed back against the outside wall. It was only a few inches away from the wall before. But, I never quite got used to the bed not being next to at least one wall. The bed is still new so I don’t think it increases the noise from the bed springs. Can you tell any difference?

Friday Featurette #296

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airAs you can see from our tan lines in the picture, we’ve really been getting some sun the past month, and especially this week. This week has been glorious. We’ve rowed every day and gotten in the pool as well. We really, hate to see it come to a close. It will be many, many months before our next vacation.
