My next-door neighbor has already cut his grass TWICE this week. Meanwhile, I still haven’t started mowing yet. Our yard is getting to the point where it needs cutting; but, it’s only recently started to turn green. I’m sure I’ll start cutting the grass in early April someday. Just not this year. It’s not long. Only slightly unkempt. Once I cut it, it will be the same length as the neighbors.
I left work (almost) on time today and The Wife and I had a relaxing Friday afternoon row. Going home on time shouldn’t be a notable event; but, unfortunately, it has been recently. Hopefully leaving work at a reasonable time is a trend that will continue. Tomorrow is may be the warmest day of the year so far and we are looking forward to it. Have a great weekend.
We rowed on the river for the first time in what seems like forever. The water was high (but not too high) and still icy cold. It seemed like spring, if only for a day. Temperatures are already dropping and … Continue reading
I did not realize it until preparing for this week’s photo session that I left the memory card in the card reader. No one else uses our computer and the SD card was already ejected. And dogs don’t use computers. … Continue reading
One of the things we have discovered with our respective fitness trackers is that The Wife gets credits more “steps” during sex than I do regardless of who is doing what. We’re not quite sure why. We probably need to … Continue reading
I complain a lot about the winter weather since we can’t do nearly as much outside as we can during the summer. I would complain a lot more if we didn’t have an attached garage and I didn’t have covered parking and long-range remote start I didn’t park when I’m at work or running errands. When you use them every day, luxuries almost seem like necessities. We’ve probably become spoiled; but I like it that way. It makes the winter tolerable.
It’s cold outdoors; but its warm inside. Partly because I turned the heat a couple of degrees so it wasn’t so drafty. And partly because we decided to make our own warmth. Not much to do except stay in and wait until it’s not so bitter cold. If you are inside the vortex, say warm and stay safe. And, if you are not, enjoy your good fortune (and the accompanying warmth).
With all of the useless new features that have been added to WordPress, the developers still have not added a way to undo an accidentally scheduled post despite it having been being a feature request for many years. There are a bunch of kludges in their knowledgebase that don’t work. Its free so I shouldn’t complain. But the continued adding of new features at the expense of fixing existing bugs is frustrating.
I ordered an item online last week that still hasn’t shipped even though today is already the second day of the three day “delivery window”. I wonder how a company that does not honor their shipping guarantees stays in business. It seems like they would run out of customers. I know this is the first and last thing I am ever buying from them. I’m cancelling the order if it doesn’t ship by tomorrow.
