I mixed up one of the photos last week when editing and ended up with a duplicate of one picture and didn’t realize it until after I uploaded the duplicate. Amazingly, it took less time to re-edit the photo than it did to fix things in WordPress. I’ve got a long to-do list; but, changing blog software is slowly rising higher and higher because of annoyances such as that which never get fixed.

Tuesday Two For #340

I recently reinstalled Twitter on my phone and almost instantly regretted it. I’m constantly getting notifications for “recommended content” that I’m not interested in yet I can’t disable them without missing notifications for the things that I follow. Very frustrating; … Continue reading

I did not realize it until preparing for this week’s photo session that I left the memory card in the card reader. No one else uses our computer and the SD card was already ejected. And dogs don’t use computers. … Continue reading
Tuesday Two For #325
It’s cold outdoors; but its warm inside. Partly because I turned the heat a couple of degrees so it wasn’t so drafty. And partly because we decided to make our own warmth. Not much to do except stay in and wait until it’s not so bitter cold. If you are inside the vortex, say warm and stay safe. And, if you are not, enjoy your good fortune (and the accompanying warmth).

Traditional Thursday #319
It was easy to select a movie for today since this is all we had. I have identified a suitable replacement camera. Regrettably, I’ve decided to wait until the price goes down. (Or until I can find something else suitable that is significantly cheaper.) It’s hard to justify spending a so much money on a camera that doesn’t get a lot of use. It’s a “new arrival” right now. Maybe it will be cheaper after Christmas.

It wasn’t “significant”; but, it was still depressing to see snow on the ground and ice on the roads. It already seems like January even though its only November. We’re hoping for a mild winter; which doesn’t seem to likely considering how cold and blustery November has been. After last year’s cold snowy winter, almost anything would be an improvement.

I had to update our anti-virus software today. The manufacturer has switched from a product key that expires based upon the date when the product was activated to a subscription key that expires based upon when it was purchased. So, … Continue reading
Traditional Thursday #303

As it always does this time of year, sunset is happening earlier and earlier. But, what’s slightly depressing is that even when the sun is still up, its not as high in the sky. So, it’s much darker an hour … Continue reading
Tuesday Two For #297
We’ve been rowing a lot this summer since it’s been mostly hot and dry. Occasionally we’ve had “scattered” thunderstorms; but not enough rain to make the river high and unrowable. And, when it did rain, it didn’t last long enough that we couldn’t row afterwards on these long summer days. according to my log I’ve rowed 18 consecutive days which is the most I’ve done. I know that streak will come to an end, so we’re going to enjoy these long days while we can.
