Traditional Thursday #360

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs togetherWe’re supposed to have temperatures below freezing this weekend. Where did the summer go? It was good; but it definitely wasn’t long enough. We closed our pool two weeks ago. And we’ve started other winterization tasks like taking down the outdoor fountain. I may cut the grass one more time, mostly for the leaves. After that, I’ll need to convert my outdoor power equipment to snow removal mode. Its rainy and dreary now. Hopefully this is the worse it gets for a while; but I doubt it.

Tuesday Two For #360

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airA while ago, I purchased a new memory card for our camera with the intent on using in a new camera whenever we got one. I didn’t realize it until I started using it but it was a long overdue purchase. Our current camera ignores any button presses while its saving pictures. The camera is still obsolete and definitely needs to be replaced. But it’s more responsive when I’m trying turn off interval shot mode which is the setting we use most.

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airI installed yet anther WordPress update today. They have far too many bug fix and security updates. Meanwhile, the database it uses, which is much more complicated, has a maintenance release every few months. I know it’s a different audience and business model. But you can’t keep expecting people to test and verify updates every few weeks. It’s getting to be quite tiresome.

Traditional Thursday #357

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs in the airAll our computers restarted correctly after the batch last Windows Updates. It’s shouldn’t be notable; but it is worth mentioning given the recent problems we had. Computers can be a lot more troublesome than they should be sometimes. Hopefully it’s the beginning of a trend that will leave me with more free time.

Traditional Thursday #356

The Husband on top of The Wife with her legs togetherOur pool gets closed a week from today. They do a good job; but, to us, it marks the unofficial end of warm weather. We got in it this past weekend but a cold front is moving in today so that was probably the last time for the season. The scheduling was timely. However, we much prefer looking out the window at clear, sparkling water rather than at the winter cover.
