I just did yet another WordPress update. The latest major version has new update every two or three weeks. Obviously, that’s much too often. It’s good it’s free software. I certainly wouldn’t pay for a product with so many bugs. Despite the nuisance of changing, I am still investigating alternatives. Hopefully this latest update didn’t break anything.
Today is hump day (in more ways than one). We both are very glad for the short week. It’s hard to get back into the swing of things after a long vacation. And even more so in the winter when it’s cold and dreary outside. Hopefully you also had a short week and its going well for you too. Have a great 2019.

I’ve recently discovered that some of the posts we set for future publication are not appearing as scheduled. I know why it’s happening. I just don’t know of an easy way to fix it without breaking something else. We don’t … Continue reading
Merry Christmas for our house to yours.
It was easy to select a movie for today since this is all we had. I have identified a suitable replacement camera. Regrettably, I’ve decided to wait until the price goes down. (Or until I can find something else suitable that is significantly cheaper.) It’s hard to justify spending a so much money on a camera that doesn’t get a lot of use. It’s a “new arrival” right now. Maybe it will be cheaper after Christmas.
I am having a very difficult time finding a new camera. Most mid-level consumer cameras do not have the ability to take time-lapse photos which, obviously, is a requirement. Many of the less expensive ones are made by off shore manufacturers without an (English) online presence which makes it impossible to review the manual for available features. And the product listings online don’t typically have much detail besides price and resolution. So far, the search for an affordable, name brand camera with the necessary functions has been fruitless and frustrating.
Our camera wouldn’t stay in the video mode so we couldn’t make a movie in our last photo session. It would only record for a second or so when the start button was pressed. Then it would quit. It keeps getting worse and worse and failing in unexpected ways. It’s especially frustrating since we require unattended operation. It’s annoying to need a new one since we use our mobile phones most everything else.
I am very late in posting these pictures; primarily because our computer picked today to install Window’s October Update. We didn’t lose any files which was a good thing. But the update process took almost six hours! The “This may … Continue reading
