After all the busy weekends, we do not have much planned for Saturday or Sunday. It’s supposed to rain. So, even though it will be warm, we won’t be able to row or do any yard work. It will be good to relax. Unfortunately, I expect it’s just the first weekend of manythat we’ll be reminiscing about the summer and anxiously waiting for spring.
Have a great weekend.
We were thinking earlier today that our digital camera is over 8 years old. Even though it is very finicky, its amazing that it still works at all. We’ve reached the point where we are (pleasantly) surprised if it operatels normally for the entire photo session. Which, of course means, that it’s long past time to get a new one. We will certainly be checking the online sales on Friday. Anyway, here is a short video we made to make sure it can still record movies semi-reliably.
We are slowly transitioning to our winter schedule. This has been a strange year weather-wise. It was cool in the spring, then suddenly it was roasting hot. The fall was warm, then the weather quickly turned cold. We didn’t have the gradual transitions that are typical with the change of seasons. We’re just hoping that the coming winter is not bitter cold like last year. Have a great weekend.
Amazingly, our camera stayed on for the entire photo session. That shouldn’t be noteworthy. However, with the way our photo sessions have gone recently it was a welcome change to have a full selection of photographs. It won’t last. Or camera is past it’s useful life even for the undemanding standards of a bed-cam. So, we’re going to enjoy it while for as long as we can.
The problem with the camera is that the dial is worn and won’t stay in the selected mode. And the camera “resets” whenever the mode is changed. I could understand having the problem when the device is handheld. But it still happens even when it’s sitting on a tripod. It’s just old and worn. Anyway, sorry for the reruns. Have a great weekend.
I found and fixed the problem with images. There was nothing wrong with the lightbox plug-in. An old, incompatible sidebar widget was crashing the page before it totally loaded. So, the code to overlay photos in the same window rather than opening in a new wind wasn’t running. Everything is fixed now and it actually didn’t take as long as I was expecting. Have a great last weekend in October.
I was working
most all of the night making a schedule that I found out afterwards wasn’t real. I was (and still am) very unhappy about the “misunderstanding”. Especially since the date which wasn’t really a requirement was clearly stated in email. Nothing to be done now except have a nice relaxing weekend and catch up on my sleep. Sadly, there is no lesson to be learned and applied in the future.
Despite raining for much of the day, the skies cleared and the thunderstorms held off and we were able to have a good row. Unfortunately, it’s probably going to be the last one for a while. It supposed to rain steadily for the next three days. And then the river will probably be too high to row. It was good to enjoy the out doors while we could since we’re going to be stuck inside for days. Have a great weekend.
We did not have a lot of options so today’s photo is similar to one we posted recently. We would certainly like a camera that works reliably all the time. But, if that’s the worst thing that happens, everything is good. There always seems to be something else to buy. Even though it is brand new, I just ordered a new bin for door of the refrigerator. And we still need another glass shelf for the freezer that is much more expensive than we were expecting. It seems like there is always something we need. Anyway, have a great long weekend. We’ll se you on the other side.
One of our previously scheduled weekend activities was cancelled. So, we will have more free time this weekend. Hopefully it will be warm and sunny enough for us to get in the pool (if it doesn’t rain). I have to work on our pool equipment so it would be good to be able to use it. Have a great weekend.
